Hey guys, SLASH here. Well some of you may now that jaymod has a lot of neat features. Some people don't know how to use those features. Well a lot of admins used to kind of just come to me for help to come in and do some certain things. I have no problem with this at ALL, love to be needed for something, but i figured its about time i teach some of you how to do some neat little tricks ;)

Today we will be talking about
!userlist and !useredit. Always wondered how you could set someone levels while they are not on, or ban someone not online? Well if you follow this tutorial you should learn rather quickly...

Attached File  User.jpg   210.92K   43 downloads

Ok here we go.....

First and formost as you see in picture 1 we are showing the !USERLIST command. With this command you can view ANYONE who has joined and is saved on the database. Obviously you can see the list of names under the Name title which shows what their in game names are. Well to the left of that you will notice a thing called ID, or called User ID. The ID is like their mini GUID for jaymod. That is pretty much their IP for the jaymod server. The ID is damn near the most important thing.. As you can also see in picture one there is a lot of names, and this list goes on, 99 pages with about 20 people per page to be exact, and that would take FOREVER to search threw and find who you want, this is where we now refer to Picture number 2 ;)

In picture number 2 you will see SYNOPSIS title. This is a list of commands you can user to shorten down your search.

IP: some how we find someones IP, rather they was on the website or forums just being rude ass pricks, or they was hacking else where and all we got is an IP. Well we can find out if that person has been in the jaymod server by simplie typing in the console

Quote

!userlist -IP (ip address) If they have been in here their in game name, user Id, IP, and last time they was on will show.

LEVEL: If you simply want show people by levels to see if you need to promote, or see if someone is a level they shouldn't be simply type this in the console

Quote

!userlist -level (the level you want to view) If you wanted to see that all the sheriffs where set right you would type in 12, and all Level 12 users would pop up, showing their info.

NAME: This is simple, you know their name and need to ban them or change their level, maybe someone came on the forum with proof that someone was hacking, you open up console and type

Quote

!userlist -name (their in game name) Their name or others like it, if there are any, will show up, with the info needed to do what you have to do

SINCE: This simply shows who has been in on in amount of time in seconds of your choice. Again open console and type

Quote

!userlist -since (the number of seconds) This is just neat to see who has all been on threw out a time period

____________________________________________________________________________________________

OK so! moving on to picture number 3 which is the !USEREDIT command. This is the execute command. Pretty much the only thing you need to worry about with the useredit is LEVEL, the rest are just neat little features that the higher admins have NOT given permission to use.

LEVEL: Ok say promotions was just handed out, you have some time on your hands and figured, " hey, lets just go set some levels for jaymod so people have what they need." Ok that's fine, for example, >RC|BOB just got promotion from Level 7 to 8, CONGRATS haha All you would need to do is simply go into the console and type the following

Quote

!userlist -name >RC|BOB (his ID, NAME, LEVEL, IP , and last time SEEN will show up, pay attention to the ID, for example lets say BOB's ID is 57hk9e2u)

Quote

!useredit 57hk9e2u -LEVEL 8 ( i little confirmation will come up saying >RC|BOB was set to level 8, if not it will tell you what you did wrong, like user id does not exist, or the useredit was wrong, so simply go back and make sure you typed everything out right, no typos)

AND WITH THAT YOU NOW CAN SET PEOPLES LEVEL WHILE THEY ARE NOT ON!!!

____________________________________________________________________________________________

Now we move on to picture 4 which is the !BANUSER command. This is where you will learn how to ban people offline. Like the people that have been found hacking by a lower level, or the stupid little people that say something rude and leave fast thinking they are safe ;)

Lets says Gary was caught hacking by a Level 8 member, and the member posted a demo on the forums and it was obvious, WELL gary is no longer online, to bad bye bye gary....

Quote

!userlist -name gary (again his ID, NAME, LEVEL, IP , and last time SEEN will show up, still pay attention to the ID, for example lets say Gary's ID is 8675309)

Quote

!banuser 8675309 9999999999999999999999999999999999999w hacking (or for what ever reason he needs to banned)

And that folks is how you ban someone offline!!!

I hope this was very helpful, i will have more topics to come with jaymod, i just figure this is pry the most important.. So have fun and use the power wisely!!!

Great post SLASH !!!! Posted Image

You can ban for 1d=1day, 1w=1week
You can change the number of the ban. doing 999999999999999999 just bans user for 999999 seconds, relatively of 1 week
For higher admin, don't input the number of time, and it will just ban permanently Posted Image
I like it in the back
