LGN*
Owner: Prophecy
Leader: *******
Our Goals
Though we will be a new clan, Legends will house members with a lot of experience in Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory. Our owner has played the game for six years now, and has seen the many great and bad days of G!X, DFH and more. Through these experiences, we have learned what it takes to keep a large caliber clan up and running. That is exactly our goal. We, the leaders of Legends intend to start our long journey with ET, but eventually expand to other popular online shooters like TeamFortress 2. We hope to become one massive clan, playing the games we all enjoyand providing a place for players to play, bot and hack free. In the future, wehope to find a legal way to expand to the world of Online Role Playing Gameswith our private servers.
Our Structure
Owner: The chain ofcommand starts with our owner. The owner has the last say in all decisions, andhas the power to appeal any decision made at any time. His decisions are finaland cannot be appealed by members of lower rank. The owner of the clan is andshall always be Prophecy until, if and when he relinquishes control to anothermember.
Leader: The leader ofthe clan is second in command. His job is to help the owner with everythingthey need, and to overall run the clan. Next to the owner, the leader is themost powerful member in the clan, and the only person able to appeal the Leader’sdecisions is the owner.
High Council: Thehigh council works a lot like the senate (in the US government). Appointed totheir positions by the Leader and Owner, the high council discusses all mattersrelated to the direction of the clan, expansion of the clan, and overallwell-being of the clan. They vote on decisions and come to unanimous decisions, and then enact those decisions accordingly. The members of the high council arepermanently members unless they choose to step down or are removed. At thatpoint, the recruiting process restarts and the Leader and Owner look forsomeone to replace him.
Internal Affairs: TheClan Internal Affairs, or CIA, is a group dedicated to ensuring the integrityof the clan remains, and always stays, at a respectable and agreeable level.Their actions may include, but are not limited to: impersonating new members inan attempt to trigger positive or negative reactions from members with hopesthe members react according to the rules and training they are given, investigate wrongful uses of powers by admins of all levels on all of ourservers, observe the actions of new members to ensure they are adjusting to theclan, and reviewing complaints made against members by guests and/or by othermembers.
The Court: The Courtacts completely independently of the chain of command. The purpose of the courtis to listen to, and if necessary appeal punishments enacted upon guests ormembers including but not limited to: mutes, bans, or demotions. The courtreviews cases and investigates them in an unbiased basis and comes to decisionsand then acts upon those decisions. Once a court appeals a punishment, the onlyperson able to review and possibly reverse the court’s decision is the Owner.
Informants: Theinformants of the clan will not exist at the start of the clan, but as the clangrows, will be assigned to reporting to the High Council the decisions of theLower Councils and vice versa. Position is essentially a way of communicatinginformation between the councils without taking away any time from the councils’jobs.
Lower Councils: Thelower councils will not exist at the start of the clan, but will be created asthe clan grows and expands to different games. In that instance, each game weexpand to will have its own Lower Council, while there can only be one HigherCouncil. The job of the lower council is to make decisions as a group thateffect the clan’s presence in the particular game the council resides over. Themembers of the Lower Council are elected by the members of the clan and eachserve specific terms. Lower Council members can be re-elected any number oftimes.
Clan Recruiters: Thejob of the clan recruiters are to observe the actions of guests on the servers, make decisions based on their behavior, and if applicable approach thosemembers with an invitation to join the clan. We take pride in the LGN tag, andas such, recruiters must active and social, getting to know all of our guestsand reviewing their actions. If a guest is found to be a fit with our clan, therecruiter must bring the decision to the Lower Council that will then make adecision based on that guest’s behavior, activity, and the suggestion made bythe recruiter. If the guest is found to be of proper standing, the recruiterthen may send an invitation to the guest to be accepted. Recruiters areself-nominated but appointed by the Lower Council of their server.
Clan Mentors: A clanmentor is an experienced member of LGN who is willing to interact with andtrain a new recruit of Legends. A mentor is expected to know the rules of theserver extremely well and be able to teach the recruit. The mentors also shareadvice with the recruit during that recruit’s trial stage, and work to ensurethe success of the recruit in Legends.
Clan Members: Allmembers are held to a high standard of rules and etiquette. All members must mesocial and interact with guests as well as explain rules, and at times, enforcethem. Clan members are also responsible for collecting evidence in cases wherea ban may need to be issued, though they do not have the power to do so. Whilea standing member of Legends, all members are REQUIRED to follow rules to thebest of their abilities and show extreme respect in all servers they play on.If a member is found to be jeopardizing the integrity and reputation of ourclan, they will be reported to internal affairs and dealt with accordingly.
Our Servers
At the time oflaunch, our clan plans to have a server using No Quarter based somewhere in theUSA running our standard server. This server will most likely be capable ofholding 32-40 members, and will switch map rotations every two months.Eventually, however, we plan to add our first Donator server. This server willbe a ‘fun’ server and will most likely use Jaymod to create a low-gravitypanzer environment.
Donators
While a largemajority of donations to clans are done by in-house sources with intentions ofkeeping the clan alive, we hope to also offer a similar incentive to ourplayers. Any player that donates will be labeled as a “Donator” for thirty days(or longer depending on amount donated). A Donator will have access to our ‘fun’servers, whereas all other guests will not. In addition, Donators will haveaccess to our in-house clan events that also will take place on our ‘fun’servers and hopefully involve prizes of varying degrees. As the clan grows andexpands, and more incentives become available, we plan to offer our “DonatorPackage” in which a player can pay a set amount (say 30$) and gain access toall of our fun servers and fun events throughout all of our games. Please note, all of our basic servers will be completely free to play in and will not favordonators over guests. With the addition of these fun servers and events, wehope to stir interest into our Donator program by providing complete media ofall fun events and fun servers.
Merchandise
While not immediatelyavailable, as the clan grows, we will be selling shirts, hats, and moremerchandise.
Please Note:
Legends will be anon-profit organization, so every dime that we receive through donations andpurchases will be put back into our servers, events, and tourneys to ensure thecontinued growth of the clan.
We also hope to further develop the idea of clan alliances and make them have meaning. This idea is still in its early stages though, and therefore is not listed here, nor are the position of clan ambassadors.
