It has come to my attention that a racist word was used on my computer during ET. It was not me but have no way of proving it. I suspect one of my son's friends. He is 17 and just the type to do it. He is african american and uses the term some in reference to himself from time to time. I knew that they occas play some ET when they get bored with MW, COD, Skyrim, etc.

I will address this issue directly with both of them. It will be taken care of and not happen again.

I apologize if anyone was offended.

I only got to say is be careful who using your account because they can get you into some crap that you shouldn't be in. But thanks A BUNCH for bringing it to the forums and apologizing!

Thanks,
Jimmy

Alternatively, you can also be proactive in creating another account on your pc and password protect your own account. I think problems like this will not happen again. Ofcourse, fresh installs of et or whatever your kid is playing..

Appreciate the apology...I think speaking to them about it will be best....I haven't heard anyone complain of any offensive language. I enjoy playing with Doo and haven't had any problems playing with him so I do believe you when you say that it was your sons friend.....some things said on ET should be taken with a grain of salt :D

Ok just an update.

My son has been punished for not supervising his friend closely enough on one of our home computers. He thought it was a little unfair to be punished for his "friends" actions, but then when I doubled the length of time of his punishment (for whining) he all the sudden saw my point clearly. And amazingly enough, after I told him what would happen with ANY kind of second problem, my son has told all his friends that all the computers are off limits. Xbox only. LMAO later in private.

HESS, I appreciate the suggestion but that's why I don't have separate computer accounts. I have fair rules that everyone follows. I expect everyone at my house to be adult about it. If not, you lose your stuff and privileges. I'm the only one with a paying job. I know where all our stuff came from. I know how it can all leave.

The "friend" that did it, well, I can't do too much too him. Not my kid. I did explain the whole story to his parents at church yesterday (with him present so there would not be any miscommunication). They weren't any too happy but who knows if he'll get more than a talking too.

Incident closed from my end.

Thanks to all
